This initial research clearly indicated that there is a huge demand for a set of National Occupational Standards in this sector which must be captured and delivered to aid all beneficiaries.

NIACE is currently preparing a submission to the Project Standards Advisory Group (PSAG) at QCA for the funding to develop the Standards, and we would like to invite stakeholder participation in the process. We appreciate that demands on time may limit involvement, but we would like to seek help on a number of different levels. We hope that you, as a stakeholder, will be willing to participate by responding to one or more of the statements below:

I am willing to be a member of the Steering Group for the Standards Development Project

This group will provide the overall directions for the project and will involve approximately 4/5 meetings over the development period (9-12 months)

I am willing to participate in the Expert Reference Group for the Standards Development Project

This will involve receiving draft papers for comment on approximately 5/6 occasions over the development period (9-12 months). This process will be electronic.

I am willing to provide details of the work/projects undertaken by my organisation to inform the development of the Standards

This will involve providing the consultants with project and programme details and documentation to assist at the desk research stage of the process

I am willing to send a letter from my organisation indicating support for the development of Standards

Letters of support would be welcome before the end of April in order to be incorporated into the submission documentation

You may respond by using the above reply form or by e-mail

We look forward to your involvement in the next, vital stage of this work.
