New Directions on behalf of Early Years National Training Organisation, have undertaken a pathfinders project funded by The Learning and Skills Council [LSC].
This project is aimed to establish a new progressive pathway for people achieving Advanced Modern Apprenticeships [AMA] into Higher education [HE].
Project Aims
- To create a new progressive pathway for AMAs entering HE
- To widen access to HE to non traditional learners
- To encourage HE to broaden its views on non traditional assessment methods
- To encourage employers to participate and support their employees through Foundation degrees
- Encourage the appropriate use of Accreditation of Prior Learning [APL] as an assessment method

- Increase the amount of non traditional learners participating in HE

This will be a way of finding out all of the latest and up to date progress on the project, including dates of meetings and forums which will be held.
Chat rooms
As communication is the most important part of our project we feel if learners, employers and HE have an instant way to highlight any issues arising, or concerns that arise and to share news, views and best practise.
Message Board
This is also a good way of communicating with the project leaders who may have valuable information and will always be able to answer any questions or queries.
